Martha Stuckey

Martha Stuckey is a cabaret performer and theater artist based in Philadelphia, PA by way of rural Minnesota. Before coming to the program, Martha was touring Southern Spain with a group of acoustic musicians. She graduated from the Pig Iron School in 2013 and returned to the program for her MFA which she will receive in December of 2016. Martha is the Artistic Director and lead singer of the funk clown band Red 40 & The Last Groovement. The band recently finished a two year residency at FringeArts during which they received funds from the Independence Foundation's New Theater Works Initiative to develop a musical. Stay tuned for an album release party in the fall for Red 40's first record titled "She's Keen To Feed." In 2015, Martha made her cinematic debut in the film "Slow Learners" (Dir. Don Argott, Sheena M. Joyce). In 2016, Martha performed a weekly jazz series called "Moonlighting" at FringeArts. Martha also has performed and developed work with Pig Iron Theatre Company, Team Sunshine Performance Corporation, The Bearded Ladies, Lightning Rod Special, and BRAT Productions. www.red40andthelastgroovement.com / www.marthastuckey.com
