September fast approaches, and with it comes the annual Philadelphia Fringe Festival. Wondering what to see on any given night of the festival? This year there's a veritable smörgåsbord of performances created by, featuring, or produced by Pig Iron students, alums, faculty, staff, and friends.

Join us for three nights of brand new, full-length works of theatre devised by students in the final semester of the UArts/Pig Iron School MFA program. Experience the unfettered creative visions of our trail-blazing students as they launch themselves into the world.

This September brings the 20th anniversary of the annual Philadelphia Fringe Festival, and our students, alums, and faculty are busy with all manner of shows:

- Red 40 & The Last Groovement, Philadelphia's preeminent funk/disco/r&b clowns, help kick off the festival with a late night dance party.  Red 40 includes Martha Stuckey '13,  Caitlin Antram '13, Jess Conda '13, Ben Grinberg '13, and Alice Yorke '13.

Jenn Kidwell and Scott Sheppard, members of the Pig Iron School Class of 2013, were featured in the New York Times Arts section on September 11th.  The article previewed their show Underground Railroad Game, running September 13th-October 15th at Ars Nova in New York City.

Jenn Kidwell, Class of 2013, was recently named a Pew Fellow from the Pew Center for Arts and Heritage.  It comes with a $75,000 unrestricted grant.  She was also named Theatre Artist of the Year from Philadelphia Magazine.
