About the Pig Iron School
The Pig Iron School is a physical theatre school rooted in Lecoq pedagogy and ensemble theatre practice. It is a space for rigorous experimentation, playful theatre-making, and long-lasting collaboration. The school offers MFA and certificate programs in Devised Performance through a partnership with the University of the Arts, as well as workshops, residencies, and other training opportunities.
Devised Performance MFA & Certificate Programs
Offered in partnership with UArts, the MFA & Certificate in Devised Performance are degree-granting programs designed to train forward-thinking theatre-makers with a desire to forge new boundaries for live performance. Students train in the skills needed to be a contemporary theatre artist: physical conditioning, movement analysis, acrobatics, voice, play, improvisation, theatre creation, and dance.
Applications are now being accepted for Fall 2017. Priority is given to applications received before March 31, 2017.
